These information pages are CRUCIAL to a successful and efficient communication process throughout the year! Please take the couple minutes to fill this out. It must be completed by the end of our Choir Orientation night on Tuesday September 10th at 7:00 PM, so feel free to get a head start!

2018-2019 Advanced Choir Rosters are up!

Once again dear students you brought you’re A-game to auditions! I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly proud I am of your auditions this year. Not only were they very well prepared they made these decisions unbelievably hard, which tells me that you want our program to go to the next level. I cannot wait for such amazing musicianship and artistry next year from ALL of the ensembles.

Please make good decisions about using technology to share your emotions and thoughts regarding the advanced choir results! Sharing your happy or sad thoughts (excited or angry thoughts) will always have consequences with the relationships with your friends in the Performing Arts Department, as well as your future in the Choir and Theater Department. If you didn’t make it in, please take some time away from your phone and your computer. Be careful of burning your bridges for the future.

Be careful of what you put into print! You could easily crush a friend. Be conscious and caring about your relationships with your friends.

If you are negative on any social media sources, know in advance that you will be burning many bridges. THINK – WAIT and then respond.
If you didn’t make it into your dream ensemble, and would like to know why, wait a few days and then feel free to talk to us. Remember these decisions are made on what is the very best for the ensembles.
Congratulations to all who auditioned. These were extremely tough choices that were made, which took a great deal of thought and consideration. Alternates, stay tuned as you will be the first to add if there is a change in personnel.

There are mandatory meeting/rehearsals for Chamber Singers and Valkyries next week.

Valkyries:

Wednesday, June 13th 10:45 AM-12:00 PM in the choir room.
Please bring food to share with the group.

Chamber Singers:

Thursday, June 14th 10:45 AM-12:00 PM in the choir room.

2018 Featured Acts

All Acts MUST attend a rehearsal on Wednesay May 16th or Thursday May 17th.

Thursday May 17th is reserved for those acts working with Mr. Howland because that is the only day he can attend. Please sign up for a time outside the choir room on the choir room board. This will the final time to ensure you have everything ready before our dress rehearsals on the 21st and 22nd.

Please make sure that Sunday May 20th is in your calendar to set up the stage. We start at 1 PM and go until done.

Rehearsal music is now up on the website!! Please click here to be taken to the information page, which has the links for the music as well at dates, links, and maps! Please remember that you must be in South Lyon for the ENTIRE day for auditions on December 2nd!

BINGO Night Fundraisers!

Choir Council 2017-2018

 

A huge congratulations and thank you to our new leaders in choir council next year. Looking forward to the leadership and growth of our program next year. These positions were very carefully thought-out and selected by our interview panel. We feel that these individuals best demonstrated the leadership qualities needed for their specific area. I would like to meet next week as a choir council next Wednesday after finals to have some lunch and establish some plans before the summer begins J
